Epic EVO Comp

Lightweight yet stiff, capable yet efficient, and fun yet focused—the Epic EVO Comp represents a carefully balanced approach to XC mountain biking. The Epic EVO features a modest 20-millimeter increase in suspension travel up front and 10-millimeters out back compared to the standard Epic, implemented through meticulously engineered suspension kinematics that deliver noticeable performance gains on singletrack. The EVO's new suspension kinematics work in concert with Rx XC Tune customized suspension front and rear to maximize the use of available travel while maintaining the Epic's standard-setting efficiency. Increased anti-squat characteristics ensure improved pedaling efficiency, keeping the bike responsive and capable across varied terrain. The Epic EVO now features the most capable iteration of Specialized's Progressive XC Geometry ever to grace an Epic frame. A new flip chip-equipped rear end allows riders to adjust headtube angle and bottom bracket height to customize handling characteristics, making the bike more versatile than ever. The Comp model features a well-balanced component mix designed to keep the bike just right. Powerful four-piston SRAM G2 RS brakes provide smooth, controllable stopping power, while an X-Fusion Manic dropper post offers infinitely adjustable travel via a shifter-style remote lever. The RockShox SID Select fork rounds out the suspension package with modern damping technology.
