Have you ever heard of Strava?
Strava is a mobile-based social app that is tailored to runners and cyclists. It’s a great way to track your rides, train for your next event or meet people and be social. It even allows you to compete against other cyclists without having to ride with them.
Getting started on Strava is pretty easy. If you are using your phone simply search for “Strava” in the App Store and install it. If you prefer a desktop experience, navigate to Strava.com. The homepage is their signup page. Either location will allow you to create a profile with Facebook, Google or just with your email. Whatever your preference is, click on it and follow the directions to enter your personal info and get your profile setup.
Once you are set up, you can easily join our club. If you are on a desktop, it will look like the above picture. Click the search icon, change the search to Clubs and enter Red Rock Bicycle. Once on the club page, click Join.
On your phone, click the menu icon in the upper left corner and then click clubs. That should bring you to a page that looks similar to this.
If you are in the St. George Area, our club will be one of the suggested ones and you can just click through. There will be a big orange “Join” button to add yourself to the club. Once you’ve joined you will be able to see the Leaderboard, create posts (use this to find others to ride with), see posts from other club members and join club activities like group rides. We host Club Challenges on a regular basis that can help challenge you or just get you out riding.
