Broken Mesa is an offshoot of the Ice House Trail. After a short, steep climb up the mesa you get to dodge baby-head sized boulders as you bomb back down the other side. The trail merges with Ice House as it drops off the mesa through an old road cut that will test your down-hilling skills.
Head east on St. George Boulevard. Turn left on 1000 east and then right on Red Hills Parkway. Go to the next intersection and turn left on Industrial Drive. Turn left on Red Rock Road and follow this road as it winds through the industrial park. It will climb up the mesa to a Y, go left. The pavement will worsen and you will head out of town. Park at the water tank by the trail kiosk
Riding the trail...
Once parked, ride up the road you were just on. The pavement will turn to dirt. You will follow this road for a few miles. There will be a sign for the Mesa Rim trail, turn here and you will find the trail head at the far side of the parking lot. Once on the trail, simply follow it up the mesa. At the other end of the single track, go right on the power line road and it will take you back to the water tank and your car.

If you can find this trail, it is an ok trail. You climb a little at first, then go across a ridge, then over grapefruit sized rocks for 20 minutes. Ok flow. Just have extra tubes or tubeless for the getback roack because the thorns down there are absolutely terrible. I don't know if I would ride it again just because of that. It has real potential if we got rid of the thorns and made the top more fun.
