The Rock House Route is an adventurous out and back starting about 10 or so miles North of St George in Diamond Valley. It is a rough and bumpy dirt road that climbs strait up the hillside to the base of Pine Valley Mountain. At the top of a very step climb you are rewarded with spectacular views of both the mountain and the valley below it. There are awesome views of Snow Canyon State Park and you can also see the Veyo Volcano. Theres even a few old ruins of an old rock house and some ranching cabins left for you to explore! There is a seldom used hiking route that goes to top of Pine Valley called the Blake and Gubler Trail that is located near the top of this route.
